RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 4031196. Bbl. 24". Barrel is marked behind front sight "RA / flaming bomb / 4-44". Receiver has been salvaged perhaps from drill rifle. The bridge area on the left side has been welded and re-machined showing pin-holes and misalignment of magazine cutoff. Aperture rear sight graduated to 800 yards. Sight is loose on dovetail. Blade front sight with sight cover. Bolt assembly and cutoff marked "R". All stamped furniture including checkered buttplate and large bow trigger guard. Unmarked replacement scant grip walnut stock set. WWII vintage green web sling. CONDITION: stock set has notably thin finish with moderate wear, staining and handling marks. Handguard has 1" crack at top left rear. Metal retains 80% of its arsenal rework parkerized finish with light wear. Rear swivel installed with Philips head screws. Very good shiny two groove bore.
